How We're Helping

Dogs of Gyumri (or D.O.G.) was started in the fall of 2017 and is a non-profit, donation based animal welfare and adoption center. The mission of D.O.G. is to promote the welfare of animals through education, information, and advocacy. We seek to reduce the population of stray animals through human trap, neuter, vaccinate, release (TNVR) programs. While we work on the implementation of several projects, we have already had 50 successful adoptions both in Armenia and overseas in the United States and Canada. Our goal is to re-home puppies while we implement TNVR for adult dogs who are already independent and feral.

The educational aspect of D.O.G. involves going into schools, after school centers, and other organizations to train children on how to be safe around stray dogs and the benefits of having a pet. This educational element will be spearheaded by volunteers from different organizations.

We are partnered with an organization in the U.S., The Paros Foundation, which is based in California. All donations can be made through them or through our Paypal: dogsofgyumri@gmail.com  The Paros Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
