Social Media Manager

Job Description

Dogs of Gyumri is currently looking for an intern to assist in all aspects of managing our social media platforms. This is a volunteer, non-paid, position.


The Social Media Manager would contribute to D.O.G.'s cause of helping the dogs in Gyumri by fulfilling the following responsibilities:

  • Make posts which further our campaigns on our social media platforms to promote dogs that are available for adoption and to illuminate the work being done by D.O.G. to improve the welfare of dogs in Gyumri
  • Develop new social media campaigns which will catch the attention of users to engage with our organization and garner more interest in assisting the dogs we work with
  • Respond to inquiries made through private messages to D.O.G. social media platforms and direct those inquiries to the proper D.O.G. staff when necessary


The ideal Social Media Manager would have the following qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program pursuing a degree in a relevant field (ex. Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences) or a recent graduate
  • Fluent in English (Armenian is a plus, but not required)
  • Ability to calmly and efficiently adjust to changes in direction and re-prioritize work
  • Effective in written and oral communication
  • Demonstrate care and concern for the well-being of people as well as animals


 Work Environment:

  • This is a remote job and can be done from anywhere in the U.S. Applicants must be available to video chat, email, or message staff in Armenia when necessary.
